Terms of Use

By using Unknot Words you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Using the site

• The solvers and guides are free for personal, educational and classroom use.
• Please don't use automated tools to send large volumes of requests, scrape results, or interfere with the site's operation. We may limit or block traffic that does.
• Follow the rules of the game you're playing. Many tournaments and online games forbid word finders during play; it is your responsibility to use the site fairly.

Accuracy

Results come from the official NWL and CSW tournament word lists. We work to keep them accurate and current, but the site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Word lists are revised periodically, and a particular game or app may accept a different set of words.

Content

The guides, page text and design of Unknot Words are our own work. You are welcome to link to any page and to quote short passages with attribution. Teachers may print guides for classroom use. Please don't republish whole articles without permission.

Trademarks

SCRABBLE® is a registered trademark of Hasbro, Inc. in the United States and Canada and of J.W. Spear & Sons Ltd, a subsidiary of Mattel, Inc., elsewhere. Wordle and Spelling Bee are trademarks of The New York Times Company. Words with Friends is a trademark of Zynga Inc. Unknot Words is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of these companies; their names are used only to describe what our tools help with.

Advertising and third-party links

The site shows ads served by Google and links to other websites. We are not responsible for the content of ads or external sites. See our privacy policy for how advertising cookies work.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unknot Words and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, including lost games, points or wagers.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
